Beach fun with the family

This last weekend we were blessed to be able to join my entire family (Parents, siblings, and there children) over on the Oregon Coast. All of the cousins were together for 3 days straight, what a great chance for them to really get to know each other and just have a lot of fun. It was a beautiful weekend at the coast and the Love showered on us by my parents and the entire family was just one more reminder of just how much our God in heaven must love and care for us his children.

We are now home again and for all those who have helped us out financially or with prayer and friendship I can never express how it has blessed us. God is so great, so great that it is beyond human reasoning. Just getting to see the entire body of Christ working together the way it is meant to work is breathtaking.
Justin is still looking for work, yet we know that we are in Gods great hands and we ask for your prayers that we can see clearly his will for us.

The kids will start school next week. Prayers for smooth days and cheerful hearts would be fabulous. I will be teaching all 4 officially this year so a new adventure and growing experience awaits us all.

Creation Camp 2010

The Lions may be weak and hungry but those who fear the Lord lack no good thing. Psalm 34:10

This was a great Camp for myself and I hope for all the kids who attended as well. Reminded me how much I enjoy ministering to a childs heart. Also that even when I lack and feel I may have failed, God is in charge and he always triumphs.

I had great, great girls this year. They are growing in God and walking that rough rode of life decisions and future plans. Had a great conversation with one of the girls Sat night that so reminded me of myself at that same age. God was showing me that although sometimes I doubt I have much to offer others even the little I have is enough. It's all he asks and it is all I can give.

A Time Out

It's been a crazy few months at our home. After over a month of having no job God led Justin straight to a job we weren't even really considering. The weekend before he went back to work Justin and I took a weekend camping trip thanks to his wonderful momma who offered to watch the kidlets and let us use there van. It was glorious at the coast and we had an amazing get away. It can be so nice to just sit back and talk with no fear of interruption. :)

Justin is now at Verizon Phones Plus and it has been an amazing blessing. We do miss having him home all day though and even when the time off was a tad stressful with a limited budget it was truly a great time for us just to be a family. :)

Wait where did summer go?

So life is busy and far to fast moving. We are now officially in our new home and mostly unpacked with alot of new projects to conquer. We also went to California and Disney for a week and made some lifelong memories with our little ones. I can't believe summer is coming to an end and the school year is starting. I still need to figure out some sort of a school schedule before starting next week but at least I have most of the curriculum already. So if need be I can fudge the schedule until we figure out what works. My Grandmother passed away yesterday. Leaving me feeling strange and sad. She was my last living Grandparent and I can't really put into words how I am feeling right now. Maybe regretful is the word.

We also picked up a van finally. A toyota sienna which I am loving. I also love how great God is. He has provided everything we need and so much more through this whole house sale. Maybe not all in our timing but he knows so much better.

Impromptu Coast Trip

The awesome old cart as my kids called it. I told them not to be so loud about it because these are the only carts they have at this Safeway on the coast. :) Of course then I proceeded to take pictures and get very odd looks sent my way. Funny what things our kids think are antiques. I loved these carts as a kid. Just back it up to the register open it up and slide the groceries out. So cool!
My handsome Man

Burying Haven. :) Thats a lot of belly to bury. Hehehe

Race to mommy
Digging in the sand with our awesome WalMart toys we grabbed at the super Walmart on the coast.
Cherry faced.
Notice the radical sweatshirts all the kids are wearing. We spur of the moment headed to the coast Sunda morning, we were dressed for the hot weather expected here on Sunday. Thus we stopped at the Goodwill on the coast and aquired these awesome jackets/ sweatshirts. We had fun though and stayed way cooler than if we had stayed home. :)

Summer Vacation

What do you get when you take 4 kids, 2 parents, a tent, the beach, and 6 days. Very, very dirty. At least thats what you get if you are my kids on a 5 night camping trip.

Here is a few things I learned on this trip or at least remembered.

1. Bring extra jackets for children.
2. No matter how many outfits you pack boys will need more.
3. Feeding a sea gull may cause it to decide to live at your campsite.
4. Please do not go camping if you do not wish to get up with the sun.
5. Babies think sand is delicious, toddlers do not.
6. 5 year old boys are so fascinated by peeing outside they can even accidentaly forget we are right next to a bathroom.
7. Never ever take the scenic drive anywhere. (Unless you wish to break down and die)
8. Once children can read proficiantly life gets alot more complicated.
9. Gasoline is expensive.
10. Coffee is my friend
11. Sleeping on the ground is not good for your back.
12. Sleeping on a deflating air mattress is worse.
13. Reading bedtime stories in a tent is fun.
14. Watching kids discover new things is amazing.
15. Time as a family is priceless.

Day 1 we headed down and over to Humbug. We took a long scenic route over death mountain. :) It was beautiful sunny and terrifying. We took so long we got to the campground late. Day 2 and 3 we set up camp, went to the beach, went to Gold beach, and the prehistoric gardens. Evangeline lost her first tooth eating marshmallows and the momma tooth fairy gave her $5 under her pillow. She got herself a necklace.

Day 4 we went to the wild animal park and Caleb was in love with all the animals. They are all his babies and he chases them around trying to hold them. :) Even the Turkeys. Yikes

The older two were scared of all the loose animals but liked all the ones behind fences or bars. We saw some new baby cats including a 7 week old lioness. So sweet.

Then we went back to camp and packed up. We moved up North to Bastendorf were Bob and Abbie had a cabin. We set up a quick camp and spend the evening at Bob and Abbies cabin roasting hotdogs and smores.

Day 5 we took a short early morning walk near our campsite and then we headed to the campground playground and the kids played while we waited for Bob and Abbie to finish breakfast up. We played at the playground for a long while, yay for merry go rounds and tator totters as my kids called them. :)

After that we headed into Bandon. We stopped at a small museum and looked around and by the time we were done it was time to meet Bob and Abbie at a local city park. Wow I wish our parks were like that. So much fun stuff for the kids. Another Merry Go Round, Teeter Totters, Climbing toys, Tubes, swings, slides. We played there for a long time and then we headed to face rock beach. The kids played in the sand. Evangeline built herself a sand castle and Timmy and Benny built some kind of indian caves. :)

We headed to dairy queen and had icecream with Bob and Abbie before they headed home and we headed back to camp for the night.

Day 6 we woke up and packed camp. Just a quick note Bastendorf is a great campground, more secluded spots than humbug but the humbug bathrooms win hands down.

We went out to the cozy kitchen restaurant for breakfast. Then we spend the morning thrift store shopping. We found a big goodwill, salvation army, a local thriftstore, and our usual stop Books By the Bay in North Bend.

Then we headed home.

We stopped at Umpqua lighthouse and took a short break and then we stopped in Winchester Bay at another really cute playground area. We all had some more fun play time and then walked over to a close by Thai restaraunt. It was really good and even Haven was loving his rice.

So we made it home and I think I am just about caught up with the laundry now. Although my house may take awhile longer to recover.

I am off to register my Timmy for Kindergarten this morning and it sorta seems surreal. I feel as if I am in no way ready for it to be school time yet and I'm not sure how the summer past by so quickly. Hmmm

Vacation '07

So here they are, A few pics from our family vacation this summer. We had so much fun. We went to Portland, Oregon. Visited Oaks amusement park, The Oregon Zoo, Chuck-E-Cheese, OMSI, and hung out at the hotel. It is so nice to get time to spend as a family, I strongly encourage it. :)
